The daily to-do: Tuesday June 21

Today is going to be an “inside day.” I knew this as soon as yesterday, when I decided yesterday would be “yard day” (since the weather was excellent yesterday, and I had to get the yard waste bins full for today). I thought the weather would be horrible all day today, but actually so far it has been pretty nice…I probably should have taken Cosmo on his walk already. Oh well. I was too tired this morning, since I had trouble getting to sleep last night.

  • walk Cosmo
  • feed Cadenza
  • run/ do workout with weights
  • take the volunteer editor positions I have separated out and create a dynamic list/ database to help me figure out which to apply to); apply to some
  • sort through new Indeed job postings and new VolunteerMatch positions
  • blog (especially, make a news blog and start a draft with all the ideas I want to write about; possibly make a Daily Kos account and start up a blogging presence there)
  • figure out Seafair events for the summer: Kent Cornucopia Days is July 8-10, and might be a good one to do (street fair Fri, Sat, and Sun; a 5k on Sat, July 9; Dragon Boat races on Sat. starting at 8:30 and going all day; Parade on Sunday; Beer Garden; Square Dancing; live music)
  • …and other community events: Celtic Weekend at Emerald Downs (this Saturday and Sunday, with live Celtic music, Irish food, and Irish wolfhounds…?); other events at Emerald Downs; Tacoma Highland Games (this weekend in Graham; apparently traditional Scottish sports, music, and dance); the fair (Friday, Sept. 9 7:30am breakfast, 10am parade, 1pm rodeo)
  • order things on Amazon: weights, more running tights
